Very authentic Cuban restaurant. It has a diner/lunch counter feel. Clean and tidy down to the windows. Cafecito (Cuban coffee) was the best I’ve had in years. The Cubano sandwich was hot, tasty, and huge. Shared it with a friend, and we were still full. Served with potato sticks which was a nice touch. I have not had those for years. Great seasoned pulled pork accompanied by a large portion of ham served on very fresh authentic Cuban bread . We were the only non-Hispanic people there. We were warmly welcomed and treated extremely well. Other customers helped us by translating for the person behind the counter. It’s located in a strip mall and you wouldn’t normally not go there except for the very high ratings and the truly delicious food. Don’t miss it if you have a chance to go there.

For the price...this is 5 star. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, delicious food! Crispy skin on the pork. This place would be great for lunch or as take out also.

I absolutely love the Cuban food here! This family-owned gem has become my go-to spot after work for a perfectly brewed coladito, and when lunchtime rolls around, I can’t resist their ropa vieja with congri. The flavors are rich, authentic, and made with care—just like home-cooked Cuban food should be. They also serve a fantastic Cuban sandwich, easily one of the best I’ve had.

The food here is excellent. Had the ropa vieja and it was very good. The empanada chorizo was so flavorful. My husband and I had a Cuban sandwich in Key West several years ago in a family operated restaurant. We have been trying to find one just like it...and finally have!!! ...just wonderful. Plantains were also great. We will definitely go back to Mi Bodeguita.

Great food, tasty and legit Cuban food, generous portions, awesome customer service, very friendly and kind staff, been there three times now, every time I go I try something different and it keeps getting better and better, my family and I love the idea of having such a great Cuban Bodeguita in Sarasota, we used to go to Miami to eat Cuban pizza, today I tried theirs for the first time, AMAZING!!! And I don’t even want to talk about the pan con Bistek, I couldn’t even fit it in my mouth, everything was made on a timely matter, prepared with love, simply delicious, thank you for the cafecito cubano, it didn’t give me heartburn, it was spectacular as everything else, keep up the good work. Hear me out!!! Pay this place a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Came in almost at close while visiting from out of town for a memorial service. Staff were super sweet even though I know they were ready to lock the doors for the night. Food was DELICIOUS and just what I needed on an emotional day! Having grown up in Miami, I miss my Cuban pastries and croquettes where I live now. Even brought some home with me!

The food was excellent, and the pizza was a big surprise. We also got empanadas, which were absolutely delicious and the Cuban was very good. We finished off our meal with a shot of espresso and it finished off a perfect meal. The owner will treat you like family.

Best Cuban pizza I've ever had! It reminded me of my youth. The service was excellent, and the server went above and beyond by offering to make my son a lemonade, even though it wasn't on the menu. I highly recommend this place—it's a must-visit when you're in Sarasota!
